What A Wonderful World…

I wish that society would recognize how beautiful our Earth is and to learn to take better care of it. I walked by a river today and saw a fish and the water looked so gross. I’ve seen rivers and ponds that look way worse – and I know our oceans are awful. I wish we all did our part to take care of this beautiful planet, for ourselves and the animals and plants that live among us.

Uncertainty…

This is going to defer from my usual content here. Usually I post photos, which I will most likely try to get more of today before it rains. However, I needed to get some stuff off my chest – and I have spent so much of my life venting to those around me that I feel guilty unleashing the same old “nonsense” to them.

I am struggling a lot right now. Thankfully, my medication for my depression and anxiety is doing its job. However, finances are extremely tight and I have no idea what to do next. I am working a full time job, but I was unemployed for three months and had to use my credit card to keep me afloat because I was waiting on unemployment that I ultimately got denied for. Even though my former job told me they wouldn’t deny it. I just don’t have it in me to appeal the ruling, because chances are I won’t win it. I didn’t get that confirmation from my former job in writing – so I feel like it would honestly just be a lost cause. I left my prior job because it was all the way in Massachusetts and I currently live in Rhode Island without a car – so the commute was tough.

Anyways, now I’m just trying to play catch up with all my finances. I hope I am able to find some way to get back on my feet again. While money doesn’t buy happiness, it certainly helps.

If you had to change your name, what would your new name be?

My full name is Alyssa, so if I had to change that I would probably go with Alexis or Alex – since it can still be shortened to Al and wouldn’t be much different. Plus – I have always liked that name.
